Underground River

Underground River (1983-2000)

The songs on this album were written over the course of literally decades. The oldest is Blue is Good, which I composed on the piano sometime in the 1980s, as were Fulghum's Stories. Then came On the Road, Harley, and Subterranean River, which I composed while studying at university. At that time, they didn't have these titles yet; Roman Kajan, alias Kajak, and I gave them wonderfully poetic names like "Aquarium," "Terrarium," and so on. The songs Racing with the Wind, Night in Rio Branco, and The Phantom Dutchman were written shortly after I bought my first keyboard, a YAMAHA PSR-630. At the time, it was a miracle, but now it's an outdated self-playing keyboard that I use as a MIDI keyboard. This was followed by the songs Frigo on the Machine I, Prayer for Joan, and The Third Day of Creation.
